There will be no service on 0870 740 6967 and the London range 020 7920 7xxx for the next hour or so. The lines have been taken out of service to repair an ISDN pair, following on from the previous fault. Following major disruptions to our ISDN service at the BT exchange, the fault has now been rectified and customers should no longer experience 'dropped' calls.
At the same time, our Nettel Customer Service system was replaced with new hardware and this is now fully functional again meaning that callers are not forced to leave a message, as is the contingency when a fault becomes apparent.
Please accept our apologies if yours was one of the many calls that were lost over the past few days, but unfortunately the sequence of events were beyond our control.
The original fault text was as follows:
Due to a fault at the BT exchange to which our London site is connected, we are currently experiencing severe problems on all our 020 7920 7... -prefix number range. The effect of the fault is that either an incoming or outgoing call will experience such signal degradation that the call will unexpectedly terminate. This is believed to be due to an unusually high signal induction from nearby equipment, the source of the which is unknown. BT are currently investigating the fault, and any updates will be posted here, as our internet connection remains unaffected. We apologise for any trouble you are having in contacting us, and we would urge you to use email in the meantime.
